I'm Beatriz Ramos, a dedicated UX/UI designer passionate about creating exceptional digital experiences. With over 4 years of experience in the technology field, I've delved into a variety of challenging projects that have allowed me to expand my knowledge and enhance my skills.
My journey in design began during my Design course, where I was captivated by the intersection of technology and creativity. During this time, I discovered the fascinating world of Digital Games, broadening my professional horizons and deepening my knowledge as a developer, in addition to my passion as a gamer. Since then, I've been committed to improving my understanding of the essential principles of design, always seeking to harmonize aesthetics, functionality, and usability in my projects.
Who am I?
I was involved in a video game startup called ITAN, where I was responsible for Design and Marketing. ITAN was part of the startup accelerator and incubation project "Vale do Dendê" in 2018. I had the opportunity to improve pitch presentations, make the logotype, and practice branding and marketing plans. (Photos by "Conversa com Bial," a Brazilian TV show).
In 2019, I participated in the Women Game Jam, a standout experience for me. Through the event, I honed time management, teamwork, and conflict resolution skills, while also expanding my professional network and forging valuable connections. The supportive and nurturing atmosphere fostered growth and collaboration. (Photos by Florian Boccia).
My interest in games opened up new horizons for me. I studied related topics and applied my knowledge to non-gaming projects. I received my postgraduate education from the following major: Business, Management, Marketing and Related Support Services, which allowed me to deepen my knowledge in such areas as gamification, management and development of interpersonal relationships.
My career has exposed me to a diverse set of clients and teams: I have worked with startups, acceleration programs, events, game jams and lectures, and in each case, I have developed my flexible approach to design that always takes into account the requirements of a particular project.
In 2021, I collaborated with colleagues to create a project focused on developing video games and gamified applications. This experience significantly boosted my autonomy and honed my time management skills. I also gained leadership and communication experience, along with administrative tasks like business planning and documentation. Acting as a liaison between clients and the team, I provided guidance and support to interns, contributing to project success. Additionally, we participated in an exchange program in Chile, sponsored by the Goethe Institute, aimed at empowering women in the creative industry, as seen in photos 1 and 3. In my most recent role at Algetec in Brazil, I played a pivotal role in expanding the company's global reach, collaborating with a diverse team to establish it as the most extensive collection of virtual laboratories for education globally. I led the creation, testing, and validation of over 300 virtual labs across diverse educational areas, from medicine to engineering and art. My responsibilities included conducting user research, user interviews, and surveys, resulting in the production of personas, user flows, sketches, and wireframes that informed design decisions.
I am excited to continue my development and create a difference in the world of UX/UI Design. If you require a driven, creative, and motivated designer, I am eager to collaborate and develop your idea.
